Thames Cafes Winners of Best Thames Local Ossies 2012 "Ossies Cafe has been trading since 1990 and is located in Dartford, a Thames Town. The premises itself is very well presented with plenty of inside seating as well as the lovely outside seating area, great for when the suns out. The staff and management are always happy to help, work with pride and offer a high level of customer service." This is what the News Shopper said about us. "Ossie's Cafe, Spital Street, Dartford, won the prize for Best Contribution to the Local Area at the Britain's Best Caff awards in Birmingham. The awards, organised by roofing firm Roof Shop, were decided by a ballot among cafe customers in the UK. Other categories included best bacon butty and best overall cafe - a category in which Ossie's finished second. Cafe customer Jean Brown, 63, of Junction Road, Dartford, said: "Some of us old reprobates who like a smoke can eat and drink outside and it is like a social club when we all meet. "It is so nice to know people appreciate our food and service."
